“‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11
We are often confused about what we are supposed to do for God but it was never about what we do! It has always been about being what God created us to be. Yes, God gave us things to do but doing is not as important as being. BEING is a part of God. Everything God asked asks us to do is always preceded by His promise of what He will do or has already done.
God already knows what we can do. His plans are already on the “blueprints” of our lives. The Army is famous for the quote, “Be all you can be.” God says, “Be all I say you can be!” No limitations. No lack. No failure.
We are all assigned to show the love of God to all who come into our “50 feet.” He wants us to let His love, His presence, His purpose to be seen, not only through us—He wants to see His presence demonstrated with power. We were given power. (Acts 1:8) It is more than just a story, or a memory from yesterday. His presence is real NOW. Someone is near you NOW. God can and God will reach them through you.
