There are a couple things I think we need to realize in order to really encounter God’s Presence:
- We must feed on His Word.
- We cannot avoid praying and waiting on Him.
“They that wait…renew their power.” (See Isaiah 40:31)
Waiting doesn’t just mean positioning our body in a certain form or state. Our encounter comes when we have surrendered ourselves into His purpose.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” – Romans 12:1
Jesus encountered the devil after forty days in the wilderness. He was weak in His flesh—He was hungry! But, the devil was sent away with God’s words. When we have an encounter with the Holy Spirit we are allowing Him to impart power and direction that we don’t have. Think of it like this: When we drink an energy drink it gives power from the inside out—that is the same thing the Spirit does for us when we encounter God’s Presence..
God Bless You,
